职位描述：
IT Desktop Support Engr. / IT桌面支持工程师
Position Details:
1. Responds to service requests and performs routine problem diagnosis and problem resolution.
2. Performs installations, upgrades, and backups of operating systems, software and hardware applications for the desktop.
3. Identifies network problems when they relate to the desktop.
4. Educates and trains users to help them avoid future problems.
5. Follows up with users on problem solutions.
6. Records solutions into technical data base.
7. Acts as a consultant and resource to the contractors and users.
8. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment.
9. Maintains SANM’s desktop and network standards.
10. Implements preventive measures to avoid future system problems.
11. Ensures that out sourcing material is repaired in a timely manner.
12. Participates on projects as assigned.
13. Responds to on-call pages promptly.
Required Qualifications:
1. College or above
2. At least one year of client services experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Strong working knowledge of most of the client services systems. This includes desktops, printers,PDAs etc.
4. Strong working knowledge of most of the different applications and how they work on each platform.
5. Familiarity with servers, data center operations, active directory, LAN, operating systems, commands, and facilities.
6. Familiarity with backup products and facilities.
7. Familiarity with the different infrastructure operating systems including Windows, Linux, VMware, and how they work on each platform.
8. Ability to identify most problems involving infrastructure operating systems, servers and storage devices.
9. Previous experience in evaluating and testing new software and hardware products prior to implementation.
10. Good communication skill in English (Spoken and Written).
